What’s New This Week at MGX
New weekly inventory overview emails, a cleaner inventory management dashboard, easier sample analysis requests, and the ability for sellers to report quality details like protein %, moisture %, test weight, dockage, falling number, and additional notes.
We’ve been busy shipping features you’ve been asking for. Here’s what’s new this week at MGX:
Weekly Inventory Overview
Stay on top of your inventory without the manual work. Our new Weekly Inventory Overview delivers a curated snapshot of your inventory that you have listed on our platform, giving sellers a quick glance at what they have for inventory, and what they might need to update with quantities, listing status, and grading status.
Revised Inventory Management Dashboard
We’ve given the inventory management dashboard a fresh coat of paint. The new user interface is simpler, more compact, and easier to navigate — so you can manage your listings without the clutter. Everything you need is right where you’d expect it.
Easier Sample Analysis Requests
Requesting a sample analysis is now faster than ever. We’ve streamlined the process so you can kick off a requestin just a few clicks — no more hunting through menus.
Self-Reported Quality for Sellers
Sellers can now go beyond standard specs with Self-Reported Quality — a new way to manually input additional details about your inventory to help buyers make faster, more confident decisions. As a seller, if you already have analysis for your grain you can input your own analysis, and it will be displayed directly on your inventory listing. We suggest using only information from within the past 6 months from a independant grading company such as CGC or SGS - if your analysis is older than 6 months MGX suggest’s getting a new sample analysis done to provide up to date information on your inventory.
New fields include:
Protein % — Share verified protein content directly on your listings
Moisture % — Provide moisture levels so buyers know exactly what they’re getting
Test Weight — Report bushel weight so buyers can assess grain density and quality at a glance
Dockage % — Disclose dockage percentages upfront for full transparency
Falling Number — Include falling number results to indicate sprout damage and baking quality
Additional Notes — A free-text field to add context, handling instructions, or anything else buyers should know. This has been one of our most requested features, and we’re excited to see sellers put it to use.
Why It Matters
More detail means more trust. More trust means faster trades. These updates are all about giving you the tools to move product with confidence.
