In the early 2000s, founder Merv Berscheid recognized a fundamental problem in grain marketing: the traditional system wasn't built for farmers. It demanded massive time commitments, offered limited market access, and left growers without the price discovery they needed to make informed decisions.

His vision was simple but revolutionary—an online platform where farmers could list their grain and have buyers come to them. A marketplace that would level the playing field, increase competition, and ultimately put more money in farmers' pockets.

After years of development and assembling a team of industry experts, MyGrainExchange.com (MGX) launched as Canada's first dedicated online grain marketplace. Today, we connect Western Canadian farmers with a growing network of vetted buyers, from local processors to major grain companies.
