A mission to improve the grain marketing process

In the early 2000s, Merv Berscheid recognized the need for a new grain marketing system. The traditional system was not optimized for either grower or seller, demanded a huge time commitment and was generally inefficient.

His solution to the problem was an online platform to market grain that he believed would fulfill what the industry was looking for. Growers needed a grain market that was for them, not just for buyers. Farmers needed price discovery. They needed more buyers and they needed an easier system.

Merv has spent years finding investors, determined to bring MGX to life. He and the MGX team, including Blaine Canitz and Cole Thompson, passionately believe that online grain marketing is a crucial and necessary evolution for the industry.
